PROJECTS
Thorne Rural Lions have a wide range of projects throughout the year some are one time events and some are recurring events such as the Sponsored Walk, Golf Day and Accompanying Santa and his sleigh throughout December.
Whether its raising funds for the in need or local aid Thorne Rural Lions try their very best in whatever way they can, we have many project we work on over weeks, months and some span over years. Some Projects are recuring year on year like Walk, Golf Day and Disabled sports day. Our Lions Work extremely hard to create these amazing events that have raised funds for the lions.

Sponsored Walk
Every penny raised from the Lions charity walk is used for good causes within our community. This year we are fundraising in aid of Parkinson’s Disease Doncaster Support Group.

Santa's Sleigh
Every year throughout December we accompany Santa and his sleigh around our district, we update our Facebook page with all the routes and times so be sure to check it here.

Coffee Mornings
We regularly put on coffee mornings where you can socialise with others, have a coffee and biscuits.

Golf Day
Annually we organise a one day golfing event which includes 18 Holes of Golf, Drinks, Snacks and socialising.
We have sponsors for each hole and we encourage golf enthusiasts to message and get involved.

Disabled sports Day
Annually we organise a one day event of activities, exercise and FUN.
We encourage all disabled people to apply to take part in our Disabled sports day event and we would love to see you there.

Christmas Toy Appeal
Every year we work with local businesses to gather as many toys as possible to be given out (by Santa) over Christmas.
